Training

London Youth is one of the leading providers of high quality and good value youth work training in London. The purpose of this youth work training programme is to provide staff and volunteers with the support to enable them to provide excellent services to young people .

We are recruiting for the VRQ Level 3 Diploma in Youth Work...

This national youth work qualification is designed for candidates already involved in youth work/youth support work, who will have already attained the degree of knowledge and skills provided by the VRQ Level 2 Certificate in Youth Work or its equivalent.  

The VRQ Level 3 Diploma is Youth Work is designed for Youth Support Workers or Youth Workers who are required to take responsibility for areas of their work, including specialist tasks or project work at a level that is more demanding than Level 2. The course is also designed for those posts in which youth workers are required to supervise the work of small teams of paid or voluntary staff.  

Please download course information pack and a VRQ Level  3 Diploma  in Youth Work Candidate Application Form. Closing date for completed applications is Friday 19 February 2010 by 5pm. Interview afternoon: Friday 5 March 2010 (3pm-6pm). Course Dates The course will run one evening a week on a Tuesday evening from 6.30-9.30pm plus one Saturday per month from 10am – 4pm, starting on 13 April 2010 and finishing January 2011.

Who is the training for?

The courses are designed specifically for: people who work with young people (e.g. youth workers, mentors, personal advisors, health workers, project workers, group workers); managers and management committees of youth provision; young people

Where are courses held?

Our courses are held mainly in central London at wheelchair accessible venues. If specific training needs are identified locally, we will endeavour to meet that need. We also deliver in-house training at your premises if required.

In-house training

Do you have a group of staff, volunteers or young people that need training? It could work out more cost effective to have training delivered specifically for your group. We can deliver the majority of the courses listed here or we can tailor them to meet your needs.
