These excellent value courses are available as in-house courses - meaning we come to you. 

The following courses are for you if you work face-to-face with young people in youth work settings.

They are designed to:

  • give you an opportunity to meet together with other youth workers to share practice.

Girls and Young Women's Work 

The aim of this course is to enable participants to develop and promote girls and young women's work within their youth project.

 

An Introduction to Health and Safety

An introduction to the basic principles of Health and Safety legislation and what this means in practical terms for working in a safe environment with young people. This course is for those who have been given the responsibility to implement safe working methods.

This one day course is essential for all people who work with young people.

 

Working with Boys and Young Men from Black and Minority Ethnic Communities

This training day is for youth workers who work with or intend to work with boys and young men from black and minority ethnic communities. The session will explore some of the influential factors in the lives of the young men from this group.

Involving Young People in the Running of a Youth Project

Explores how young people can be involved in the running of a youth project. If you need inspiration or want to develop your practice in this area, then this course is for you.

Level 2 Basic Expedition Leadership

Level 2 Basic Expedition Leader (BEL) is a nationally recognised award that trains and qualifies teachers, youth workers and other members of the community to:

  • lead groups in lowland areas
  • have responsibility for the care of others when outdoors including day journeys
  • organise base and standing camps
