In addition, The Jack Petchey Foundation presented each of these successful clubs with a cheque for either £10K - Gold, £7.5K - Silver, Bronze -  £5K on completion of each respective level of the quality mark

What to know more about work of the Pilot?

The quality mark pilot project is a development program, which started last summer with 35 clubs and is due to end this Spring.

Using a quality assurance framework originally devised by the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Youth Options, called Assured Quality for Youth Projects (AQYP), it has been specifically designed for youth organisations with two clear aims in mind

  • It aims to measure the quality of service being delivered to young people
  • It wants young people to recognise the award as a sign of high quality

The framework is arranged into three levels: Bronze, Silver & Gold, with each level realizing the following benefits:

  • Ensures up to date policies and procedures are in place
  • A way of gathering evidence to allow self-assessment
  • Supports the Five Outcomes of Every Child Matters
  • Ensures that young people are involved
  • Demonstrates ability and willingness to provide the best possible services
  • Will support future development and sustainability for your club
  • Assist with funding applications and partnership working

If you want to learn more about the work of the pilot then please contact Gary on either 020 7549 8803 or gary.hartinatlondonyouth.org.uk (please replace 'at' with @ when sending)
