Sport
in Today’s Society
Sport is an excellent vehicle to encourage and assist young people in
challenging anti-social behaviour and focusing on new skills or activities
which they enjoy.
Sport can enhance community spirit, equality of opportunity and personal
and social integration.
Sport in society today helps to harness the commitment, passions and
energies of those young people who need support and a safety net during
their transition from childhood to adulthood.
