BOXING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Last year was a great year for youth amateur boxing. London Youth have been supporting boxing throughout the years admiring the way individual boxing clubs have dedicated themselves to young people, delivering the art of boxing in the community and further a field. Over the years clubs have produced boxers who have become a credit to society and champions in their own right.

The London Youth Special Awards for the 2006 Boxing Championships were as follows:

VARIETY CLUB CHIEF BARKER’S SHIELD
Awarded for the Most Entertaining Boxer

SYDNEY FRANKLIN MEMORIAL TROPHY
Awarded to the Best Losing Finalist

SIR CHARLES WRENCH MEMORIAL TROPHY
Awarded to the Best Stylist

EVENING STANDARD INTER-CLUB CHALLENGE TROPHY
Awarded to the Club Achieving the Highest Points during the Championships

NSS TAGLIAVINI ENDEAVOUR TROPHY
Awarded to the club with the Highest Aggregate Increase in points
