Boxing Championships

London Youth have been supporting boxing for many years, admiring the way individual boxing clubs have dedicated themselves to young people, delivering the art of boxing in the community and further afield. Over the years clubs have produced boxers who have become a credit to society and champions in their own right.

The dates for the 106th Annual Boxing Championships in 2010 are as follows:

Thursday 4th February - Weigh-In & Draw at The Lion Club
Tuesday 9th February - Prelims at The Lion Club
Saturday 13th February - Semi Finals at York Hall                 Saturday 20th February - Finals at York Hall

The following awards will be contested:

VARIETY CLUB CHIEF BARKER’S SHIELD
Awarded for the Most Entertaining Boxer

SYDNEY FRANKLIN MEMORIAL TROPHY
Awarded to the Best Losing Finalist

SIR CHARLES WRENCH MEMORIAL TROPHY
Awarded to the Best Stylist

EVENING STANDARD INTER-CLUB CHALLENGE TROPHY
Awarded to the Club Achieving the Highest Points during the Championships

NSS TAGLIAVINI ENDEAVOUR TROPHY
Awarded to the club with the Highest Aggregate Increase in points
