ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Championships are open to all clubs who are affiliated to London Youth. It is an ideal way for young people to test their own ability, not just on who can run the fastest, jump the highest or furthest (external). It is more to do with can you improve on your personal best time, height or distance (internal) and at the same time have fun. There is an opportunity for young people to come along to the Sports Development day, which is set up for beginners and those who want to try their hand at a particular event.

The games are open to girls and boys, young men and young women aged between ten and twenty years. The qualifiers of the Championships; in some cases the runners-up will then be given the opportunity to represent London and London Youth and compete in the Nationals as a team.
