Primary

For the teachers of younger children, Woodrow High House offers a particularly attractive option as a safe, enclosed and historic environment, close to home in which to run a first residential experience – children enjoy the freedom to explore the extensive woodland grounds and participate in organised environmental and team building activities.

Increasingly, schools are searching beyond the classroom for ways to invigorate the National Curriculum, educate young people about values and attitudes and motivate children to become more enthusiastic learners. All children respond well to activities that bring a practical dimension to lessons and Woodrow High House’s educational programme brings a relevance to a host of subjects that cannot always be achieved in a classroom situation.
