AQA Awards at Hindleap

In March 2011, 10 young people from Knights Youth Centre took part in a weekend residential focused on adventure and team work at Hindleap. In so doing they became the first group to complete the Centre's new AQA Award Scheme. All ten young people successfully completed the award.
AQA are an accrediting body for 'A' Levels and GCSEs but they also run the Unit Award Scheme which certifies success in non-formal educational settings. AQA awards are an extremely helpful way of measuring progress made in life skills more typically developed outside the classroom. They are also useful for potential employers looking for evidence of ability and experience.
Hindleap Warren are adding to their portfolio of AQA Awards on a weekly basis and are currently planning units in leadership, teamwork and risk assessments.
