The Staff Team consists of the Head of Activenture, Residential Coordinator and Housekeeper, Registered Nurse, and Carers. This Staff Team is responsible for the management of between 20-40 adult guests with impairments (physical/non physical)

Responsibilities:

The whole of the staff team is resident at the centre throughout the Activenture stay. You will help to assist the guests when they require it (generally the guests will be relatively independent and will ask for help when needed). This will include the daily briefings and continual care of the guests in conjunction with the resident nurse. This will include their intimate/personal hygiene and general day-to-day needs. You will also be expected to encourage the full participation of guests in all the activities. You will further be expected to contribute to the daily reporting and monitoring system that ensures the safety of the Activenture programme.

Training:

You will be expected to attend an induction training day where you will be introduced to the essential equipment you may be required to use during your Activenture stay. This is an occasion when you will be able to meet others also involved on the programme and also meet with the Residential Coordinator.

Qualifications:

• You must be aged 18+

• A caring attitude and a willingness to help others.

• A “Get on with the Job” approach.

• A strong a sense of humour.

• Able to physically support others.

All volunteers are required to have an Activenture enhanced CRB check, provide two character references before attending their first Activenture. We will organise this when it is necessary.

We ask all volunteers to consider making a suggested voluntary donation of £25 per stay. This is optional and does not affect your chances of volunteering for Activenture, but does help towards our fundraising.
