Hindleap Warren has an outstanding reputation for delivering quality outdoor education courses and residentials for Primary and Secondary Schools...

We have over 30 years experience providing exciting developmental outdoor education. We adapt our programmes and vary the style of delivery to ensure that we provide exactly what each school needs. Click here for a sample school programme

For those with an interest in the natural world we are able to build an element of environmental education and bushcraft into their programme. A Site of Special Scientific Interest set in 300 acres of natural woodland, Hindleap Warren is ideally placed to make such learning come alive. Several of our instructors are trained secondary school teachers and are able to combine their knowledge of the natural world with their teaching skills to raise awareness of environmental issues. A recent initiative has been the successful introduction of bushcraft into our activity programmes.

Activities are accessible all year round and have been designed to stretch young people of all ages. On-site, there is archery, orienteering, pool canoeing, a climbing wall, high ropes, zip-wires, an abseiling tree, tunnels, an obstacle course and team challenges. We also take groups off-site to do canoeing, mountain biking, mine and cave exploration, rock climbing and bouldering.

We can only offer this range of opportunities because of the high quality of the Hindleap staff. Very strong safety and management systems underpin an immensely impressive instructor team. We assess each instructor’s performance after each course using observation from senior staff and detailed customer feedback. The team is varied in its range of specialist skills, comprising individuals qualified to the top of their specialisms and benefiting continually from significant and sustained investment in ongoing training - as individuals and as a team. This wealth of experience and expertise means that the team is well positioned to provide professional support to youth workers bringing young people to the centre, as well as working directly with the young people themselves.
