Welcome to Hindleap Warren's News Update page. We have run outdoor education courses successfully with schools, youth groups, and adults for over 40 years. We're looking forward to the next 40 years.... Autumn staff training... The Hindleap staff team have just returned from an exciting three days honing their skills in North Wales. Activities undertaken included climbing, mine exploration, and hill walking. New Bushcraft session at Hindleap... In June we had a trial run of a new bushcraft session we are developing here at Hindleap. We received very positive feedback from staff and participants from the school following the session. This session is now available for booking by schools, day visits or youth groups. A basic session includes a discussion of the elements of survival, where to locate a shelter and then the building of a debris shelter. We then introduce the principals of fire-lighting including selection of a suitable site, how to build a fire and starting a fire using a variety of methods including the use of fire steels, bow drills and different types of tinder. New High Ropes Course opens...
Hindleap Warren are extremely grateful to an anonymous donor who gave us the financial support to build a brand new high ropes course facility down by the pond. There was a Grand Opening Ceremony on Thursday 3rd July and a group of children from St. Pauls Cray Primary School in Bromley were the first to officially use the activity after it had been opened.
