London Youth is committed to helping young people develop socially and
personally. By supporting youth projects, particularly in the voluntary
sector, London Youth can ensure that young people have access to quality
youth resources with informed and trained staff, management committee
members and volunteers.
Hundreds of youth clubs and organisations are members of London Youth
and many access the diverse range of resources on offer including:
- Training - A comprehensive
training programme is available for staff, management committee members
and young people to help develop the skills, knowledge and confidence
of those involved in youth work.
- Projects - London Youth offers
a varied programme of projects including Sports events and a volunteer
programme.
- Residential Centres - For member groups there is subsidised access to our residential centres:
Hindleap Warren in the Ashdown
Forest, Sussex and
Woodrow High
House based near Amersham.
- Insurance - London Youth has negotiated access to a
competitive package of Public and Employers Liability Insurance cover
for member
clubs. The insurance cover is only available to voluntary organisations
running regular youth sessions for young people aged 8-25.
- Other agencies - By joining London Youth a club/project
has access to our national agencies e.g.
Clubs
for Young People and
UK
Youth
- Funding -
the
London Girls
Fund and
The Variety Club of Great Britain grants schemes are available to
clubs and projects that have been LY
