Schools, colleges & other organisations We have been very fortunate to have been so well supported by establishments such as schools, colleges, the Metropolitan Police Cadets, Thames Valley and Sussex Police Forces and many youth groups from across the south east. Some have very kindly held fundraising events such as non-uniform days, and many have invited Activenture to encourage their students to volunteer. We are very happy to give multi-media presentations to assemblies and individual classes.
We have been delighted by the student response from many schools and colleges, many of whom subsequently hosted our Induction Training Day at their premises (click for information). This also encouraged students and staff to participate together in this very practical and informative day. Activenture is now a registered placement for the Thames Valley Police Officer Training at Woodrow, and also for Sussex Police at Hindleap Warren. Following recent changes, police officer training is being managed locally and includes a total of 6 days community placement. Several schools and colleges have invited Activenture to provide a display at their volunteering events & Thresher Fayres. this has also led to being invited to return to give talks to classes / courses involved with care, teaching, and community subjects. Kingston University has invited us to attend their student nurse intake careers event twice a year for many years now. We are privileged to be able to give a presentation to all first and second year student nurses, and to encourage volunteering as an aid to seeking employment.
