The Staff Team consists of the Activenture Manager, Course Director and Housekeeper, Registered Nurse, Activity Organiser and Group Leaders.

This Staff Team is responsible for the management of between 20-35 disabled guests (ages 8-18) and between 20-35 young helpers (ages 14+)

Responsibilities:
The whole of the staff team is resident at the centre throughout the Activenture week. Each group consists of between 4 & 5 disabled guests and 4 & 5 young helpers, supervised by at least 2 group leaders. Your role as activity organiser will be to prepare sessions not covered by the centre instructors, such as craft sessions, competitions, and games. You will also be expected to encourage the full participation of each group’s disabled guests and the young helpers in all the activities with the group leaders. This role will be involved with the planning process prior to the week in conjunction with the Activenture Manager / Course Director.

• Experience of working with young people.
• A caring attitude and a willingness to help others.
• A “ Get on with the Job” approach.
• A strong a sense of humour.

Please note: References will need to be taken up prior to you being engaged as a volunteer along with a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check. You will be required to be aged 18 years plus.
