What is Activenture?

London Youth organises residential adventure weeks for young people with disabilities and special needs (ages 8-18 years) throughout the school holidays. This project known as activenture provides new opportunities and experiences for all young people taking part.

How does it work?

During each week disabled and special needs children (guests) are accompanied by a companion/helper. Their duties depending on the needs of the guests will include helping with all general day-to-day care.

Experienced and trained adults and a registered nurse supervise all our helpers. Additional adults (night owls) are on duty throughout the night checking on each child hourly and dealing with any special night care required.

All our young helpers, day staff and night owls, undergo training before attending.

GP's are on call at the local Health Centres at Forest Row and Amersham in the event of emergency and advice required.

For further information on the venues please click on RESIDENTIAL CENTRES above.

Please note completion of a booking form does not guarantee a place – confirmation will be sent on completion of a detail medical form.
